Terry L. Karr from Meifee, California

I am coming along, north to Alaska!  Reasons: 1) I can  2)  it's there  3) I was born in Fairbanks and have never been there.  I read about a rider making the Iron Butt award for riding from Prudhoe Bay to Key West in 96 hours.  The idea entered my mind and has now taken shape,  we shall see it to fruition in August.

I ride a 2004 Honda Shadow  600, my son owed me $$ and this was the only bike he could get a loan on, that's how he repaid us, with a motorcycle payment, but he has perfect credit now and I love riding.  Then my husband wasn't comfortable with taking such a small bike and we recently purchased another Honda Shadow 700.  A significant boost from the 600.

I plan to do a few over night rides in southern california, where I live, for a gear check and butt endurance.  So far, my plans are to meet the group in Bozeman/Livingston Montana and continue North after Hyder to interior Alaska.

I do plan to do the loop from Fairbanks, and to Haines then the ferry to Seattle.

Depending on the group,  I hope to be with, but if not I shall make the loop from Fairbanks to Achorage to Fairbanks.  I tried booking a ferry to Seattle, but as they only run across the gulf but 5 times for the summer, nothing was available till Sept.  But the ferry ladies that book your way are exceptional!  They know how to make a route work. Very nice ladies.  From Fairbanks to Tok   I plan on going to Seattle to see my son and down the coast line home, southern california.
